English Zap Privacy Policy

English Zap is a service provided by an individual. We respect your privacy and handle your information as follows.

1. Information We Collect
   • Searched or entered text: Text you search or enter is sent to a third party (OpenAI) API to provide meanings and example sentences via AI. OpenAI’s privacy policy applies to this data.
   • Saved words, notes, tags, and similar data: Stored on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, synced and stored on Apple’s iCloud (CloudKit).
   • Settings: Theme, pronunciation settings, and the like are stored on your device.
   • Purchase information: Billing and restoration for the paid plan (Pro) are handled by Apple, and Apple’s privacy policy applies.

2. Analytics We do not currently use any third-party analytics tools to analyze usage. We may introduce them in the future for purposes such as improving the service. If we do, we will describe the data collected and the purposes in this policy.

3. Changes This policy may be updated to reflect changes in law or the service. We will notify you of material changes through the app or our official channels.
